Fighters Against Shadaloo: Cammy and the Fists of Justice
Chun-Li and Guile weren't the only ones fighting Shadaloo. A whole group raised "fists of justice" against it, and their stories form another side of the Street Fighter world.
Cammy: the fighter who defected
Cammy is a member of the British Secret Service, blonde with a fighting suit and beret — a sharp, capable figure. Her past, in fact, is tangled with Shadaloo: she was once a Shadaloo experiment, modified by M. Bison, with the "killer bee" assassination instinct still lingering inside her.
Later, Cammy broke free of Shadaloo's control and sided with justice. Fast and precise, with flashy, lethal moves, she's the sharpest "blade" in the anti-Shadaloo ranks.
The gathering of just fists
Beyond Cammy, more fighters opposed Shadaloo for their own reasons: some for justice, some for vengeance, some simply to prove themselves. They don't all team up, but together they give Street Fighter's hero side its depth.
Ryu and Ken don't directly fight Shadaloo, but M. Bison's obsession with Ryu's Satsui no Hado dragged them into conflict with the organization too.
A Final Fight easter egg
Here's an easter egg veterans all know: Capcom's other classic, Final Fight, shares a universe with Street Fighter. Characters like Cody, Guy, and Mayor Haggar from Final Fight later "transferred" into the Street Fighter series.
Cody went from street vigilante to the fighting ring, Guy became a Bushinryu ninja, and even the burly Mayor Haggar made appearances in Street Fighter. So don't be surprised to see familiar faces — they've always been "family".
The justice of many
Shadaloo didn't fall because of a single lone hero, but through a many-sided assault. Chun-Li's persistence, Guile's iron will, Cammy's defection, and the arrival of the Final Fight characters — it was the combined force of these "fists of justice" that tore M. Bison's empire apart, piece by piece.
The anti-Shadaloo fighters make Street Fighter's world richer: evil has a source, and good has a side too.
